Mrs. Mitsy Ellis-Simpson is an entrepreneur and humanitarian at heart. She is an Economist by profession and a financial services expert, but has also been involved in other fields of endeavour including real estate. Mrs. Ellis-Simpson is the founder of MJS & Associates Inc., which provides business consulting services. She is also a leading market consultant with more than 20 years diversified and global expertise in achieving better performance for her clients. 

Over the course of her career, Mrs. Ellis-Simpson has provided high-level services to clients on business strategy, financial planning and management, real estate and economic development, and is the author of several high-level documents for goal realization. With her wealth of knowledge and experience in the BVI financial services industry, she is a leader in linking global businesses and individuals with their desired BVI offshore research, company management and consulting needs. 

Mrs. Ellis-Simpson holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics from Southern New Hampshire University, a Master of Science in Finance from City University of Hong Kong, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Missouri Southern State University and an Associate in Business Administration from the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College. Her co-authored paper entitled, “Gold, Platinum, Silver - Demand and Supply in the International Finance Market: An Empirical Analysis”, won her a most outstanding academic paper award from the City University of Hong Kong. During her time in Hong Kong, Mitsy also obtained certifications in asset management, investment advice, life and investment-linked insurances, and she worked as a financial consultant. 

Mrs. Ellis-Simpson is also a qualified ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor with certification from the British Standards Institution (BSI Group) in the United Kingdom. She is the author of a BVI economic history book titled, “Secret Code: British Virgin Islands” and a puzzle book titled, “Explore the British Virgin Islands Puzzle Book” which features words highlighting the BVI’s rich culture. 

Mrs. Ellis-Simpson is a current member of the Rotary Club of Tortola, a former President of the Lions Club of Tortola and a Lion of the Year awardee. She is a Paul Harris Fellow and a former Public Image Director of the Rotary Club of Tortola. For her work as Public Image Director, Rotarian Mitsy was awarded the best public image plan for Rotary District 7020 in 2016. 

In 2021, Mrs. Ellis-Simpson formed the Brady Ghut/Fat Hog’s Bay Community Group which has been actively advocating, partnering and working in Brady Ghut/Fat Hog’s Bay to improve the community in a number of areas, including waste management and recycling, street lighting, road repairs and general community improvement.

Mrs. Ellis-Simpson enjoys giving back to the community and is a firm believer in “Service Above Self!" On the lighter side, Mrs. Ellis-Simpson loves a good sprint on the track!
